New Interactive 3D House Tool Available for Home Energy Professionals

Explore an exciting new tool  for home energy professionals—the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Weatherization Installer Job Aids and Single-Family Interactive 3D House.

The 3D interactive house tool provides home energy professionals with an interactive learning environment and supports safe, durable, and effective home energy efficiency upgrades. Users can explore the 3D house from basement to attic and discover a variety of job aids (resources) to guide energy efficiency upgrades throughout the home.

The interactive 3D house can be used as a self-guided learning tool to discover more about retrofit strategies for common weatherization measures. Or the tool can be used by training organizations for a visual learning experience by pairing with a learning activity or trainer-led demonstration. In either instance, the tool promotes active learning and professional development opportunities and supports high-quality home performance.

DOE's Weatherization Assistance Program developed the tool with support from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Simonson Management Services.
